I am a third-year PhD student in English here at Penn, where my research focuses on the poetry and politics of England and the Americas between 1630 and 1800. I've also taught or assisted in courses at Penn on Shakespeare, global cinema, and psychoanalytic studies. I grew up near Boston, MA and completed undergrad at Brandeis University. At Brandeis, I hosted a radio show and organized concerts on campus, and now I love to explore Philly's independent music scene. When I am not studying or teaching, I also enjoy reading, seeing movies and plays, and taking long walks around Philly.
