Penn Leads the Vote

Just as the COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted all of our lives, it has disrupted elections all over the country. Penn Leads the Vote wants to ensure that student voices are still heard despite these disruptions. That’s why we’ve developed a customized guide to help students vote in Philadelphia from the comfort of their homes.

With the student body dispersed across the world during such a critical election, our voices lie at risk of severe underrepresentation just months after consecutive record-breaking turnouts on campus. Make sure your vote is heard by casting a vote-by-mail ballot; click here for more information.

As of April 1st, 29 U.S. states and territories, including Pennsylvania, have not yet held their primary elections and caucuses, and options remain for

students to register and vote either in their home states (if the election has not

yet occurred) or in Pennsylvania. In addition, many states are delaying their presidential primaries out of concerns regarding COVID-19.

If you are a Pennsylvania voter, please note the County Board of Elections must receive request forms for an absentee or mail-in ballot by 5pm EST on May 26th, 2020. Due to Pennsylvania voter laws, only voters with a valid Pennsylvania driver's license can go through the online process to request a ballot. Thus, most students need to physically mail in the request form in the google folder linked here.

Find out critical information about voting during the COVID-19 crisis as it is

announced on our website at pennvotes.org/covid19. Visit pennvotes.org for

all necessary student voting information, view our student voter resources, and reach out to us at pennvotes@upenn.edu with any concerns or questions you have.

Your voices deserve to be heard, and they will make a difference.

Sending good vibes,
