Please Note:
Masking is always an option for anyone who chooses to mask for any reason. Individual instructors may decide to require students to wear masks in their classroom and those who do should make that clear on their syllabus and to their students in the classroom.
The Penn community is encouraged to wear a mask (preferably a surgical mask, KN95/KF94, N95, or EHRS-recommended Aries mask as opposed to a single layer cloth mask), regardless of masking requirements, in the following situations:
- if, for any reason, you want to
- if you are not up-to-date on your COVID-19 vaccinations
- if you are personally at high risk
- if you are in frequent close contact with someone who is high risk
- if you have COVID symptoms
- if you test positive for COVID
- if you go to an airport
- if you have been exposed to someone with COVID
- if you live in an area with "substantial" or "high" spread of the virus (defined as 50 to 100, or 100 or more, respectively, new weekly cases per 100,000 people).
Can I mail packages to Lauder College House before I move in?
Residents can begin shipping their non-essential items to campus two weeks ahead of their move-in date.
During the first few weeks of the semester, Residential Services uses over-flow locations to help with the high volume of inventory. Please look at your package notice to see if your item is at a package trailer or a package room.
Each on-campus student has an individual 6-digit number that they will be able to use for mailing throughout their entire time living on campus. If you change rooms or College Houses, the 6-digit number will not change. You can look up your 6-digit number via Campus Express, in the Housing & Mail Services section on the Mail & Shipping page. To receive mail or parcels at your College House or Sansom Place address, please be sure to use the proper mailing address in the format provided below. The U.S. Postal Service recommends this format as it is most easily read by their sorting machines and residential staff who handle mail and packages on campus.
